Small Business Majority is joining The California Asset Builders at their 2019 Assets Matter Symposium. This event attracts people from a variety of fields such as community-based organization, researchers, policy advocates, financial institutions and practitioners.

SBM's Southern California Outreach Manager Claudia Moreno will be moderating the "Leveraging Entrepreneurship Programs to Empower Latino Communities" workshop

In the summer of 2019, Small Business Majority partnered with Los Angeles groups including the Coalition for Responsible Community Development and Youth Policy Institute to launch entrepreneurship programs for low- and moderate-income communities in Spanish. Through this panel, we’ll share a replicable model for implementation and findings from our cohorts. One cohort was designed to reach undocumented entrepreneurs and small business owners in South Los Angeles while the other cohort connected with Latina women seeking financial literacy education through a Family Source Center to entrepreneurship opportunities.
