Latino Business Network members gain access to critical business resources geared toward entrepreneurs in underserved communities

Oakland, Calif.—Latino Business Network & Allies has joined Small Business Majority’s strategic partnership program—a network of more than 150 business organizations across the country working together to help small business owners navigate the many challenges entrepreneurs face, particularly those in underserved communities.

Latino Business Network works to bridge and connect monolingual Spanish-speaking Latino business owners and entrepreneurs to all the resources and services that the City of Oakland and other organizations offer to support them in their development, growth and sustainability of their business.

Small Business Majority is a national small business advocacy organization, founded and run by small business owners to ensure America’s entrepreneurs are a key part of a thriving and inclusive economy.

Latino Business Network & Allies is delighted to partner with Small Business Majority. It is important for us to partner with organizations that will provide our members with access to resources and updates on laws that impact small businesses,” said Founder Rosa Velazquez. “We look forward to working with Small Business Majority to provide our network with even more critical information about the issues affecting them most, including healthcare, access to capital, retirement and more.”

Through Small Business Majority’s strategic partnership program, Latino Business Network members will be able to participate in a host of events, including online and in-person educational programs. They’ll also have the opportunity to visit Sacramento to advocate on issues important to the small business community.

“We’re thrilled to have Latino Business Network join our strategic partnership program,” said Bianca Blomquist, Northern California Outreach Manager for Small Business Majority. “We look forward to working with the organization and its members to continue to make small business voices from underserved communities heard.”

As part of this partnership, Latino Business Network and Small Business Majority will host an educational event for entrepreneurs Feb. 28 in San Leandro. This free and interactive presentation will explain the current small business funding landscape, and showcase funding options to help entrepreneurs and small business owners start and build a scalable business in California.
