For Immediate Release:
Monday, June 24, 2013

Statement from John Arensmeyer, Founder & CEO of Small Business Majority, on the re-launch of Healthcare.gov, a comprehensive website where small employers can learn about the new healthcare law and how they can access affordable coverage

Major provisions of the new healthcare law will be coming online soon, which is why the re-launch today of Healthcare.gov, a resource providing comprehensive information about the law for small businesses and consumers, is such good news. The website will answer questions small employers have about the law and coverage options, and include a 24-hour call service if business owners have questions.

There is tremendous confusion around the new healthcare law. Opinion polling released by Small Business Majority found small employers don̢??‰?t know much about the law, but when they learn about its provisions they like what they hear. This revamped resource will help educate them so they can make informed decisions about their insurance needs.

Full implementation of the law, including the provision that everyone have health insurance, is mere months away. Resources like Healthcare.gov are just what small business owners need to make smart, fiscally responsible choices that benefit their businesses, their employees and ultimately, our economy.
