BYOB—Be Your Own Boss: Women Entrepreneurs Roundtable on Wealth Building
Women now own nearly 10 million small businesses in America that contribute significantly to our economic vitality, and four in 10 businesses are owned by women of color. For women, entrepreneurship is a path to wealth and prosperity. However, it’s important to remember that wealth is not just income—it also includes financial assets like stocks or bank accounts and non-financial assets like cars and property.
Women small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs are invited to attend a free roundtable on wealth building tactics for women small business owners. This roundtable will be held on Thursday, June 21 at 6:00 pm 7:15 pm at Homan Square Community Center. In this roundtable, we will discuss some steps to follow to help build wealth as a small business owner. This event includes an interactive presentation and peer networking where we’ll discuss the following
- Financial security
- Key tactics to building wealth as small business owners
- Workplace-based retirement plans
- Helpful tools and resources
Admission is free and light refreshments will be served. Space is limited to aspiring and current women business owners with confirmed RSVPs. This roundtable is co-hosted with North Lawndale Chamber of Commerce and New Covenant Community Development Corporation.
These roundtables are part of Small Business Majority's “BYOB—Be Your Own Boss” women’s entrepreneurship roundtable series. For questions, contact Geri Aglipay at firstname.lastname@example.org
