Entrepreneur in Small Business Majority's network selected for eight-member citizen co-chair inaugural committee

Washington, D.C. This week, the Presidential Inaugural Committee announced that a small business owner in Small Business Majority's Network was selected as a citizen co-chair for next week's 57th presidential inaugural ceremonies.

Iowa entrepreneur Rob Hach, who owns a technical firm that provides site assessments for wind turbines, will join seven other citizen co-chairs in Washington, DC on Monday, Jan. 21, to attend the inauguration, the main inaugural ball and ride in the "Our People, Our Future" float in the inaugural parade. The members of the committee also visited the White House and met with the president on Friday, Jan. 18.

The decision to include a small business owner from the clean energy arena shows they understand the important role small businesses and clean energy play in our economic recovery and the future of our nation," said Hach, who owns Anemometry Specialists in Alta, Iowa. I look forward to taking part in the celebration.

According to the Presidential Inauguration Committee, the National Inaugural Citizen Co-Chairs were chosen for their extraordinary contributions to their communities. Hach's company was named Iowa's small business of the year in 2010 and has 31 employees.

We're glad to see small businesses' important role in the economy is continuing to be recognized, said John Arensmeyer, Founder & CEO of Small Business Majority. Their experiences and perspectives are imperative for policymakers to understand as we continue down the road to economic recovery.
